Hunter - 8 months

Sorry it took so long to get this actually posted. It's been in draft form for a couple of weeks.

You can see Jake's nose on the left side of the picture. He is Hunter's favorite thing these days and is the only thing that seems to motivate Hunter to try to crawl. One of these days...

All of the above pics were really of Hunter looking at or for Jake.

More of Hunter trying to crawl...

And Hunter falling asleep and being transferred to his highchair without realizing it...he was pretty tired...

Sick baby

From this video, you would never guess that Hunter lost his dinner shortly after, but he did.

Thankfully, he didn't get too much worse. He was actually better that night (I thought) but then got a fever the next morning. It lasted about 36 hours (very similar to mine earlier in the week) and now he just won't take his bottle and won't sleep well. So we'll probably go to the doctor tomorrow just to see what's going on. The good news is that when he's awake, he's fairly happy and I did get some smiles earlier.

These were taken just before we officially took the bassinet out of the pack-n-play for good. Hunter now is officially playing in his playpen. I took some video, but haven't looked at it yet to see if it's blog worthy.
I cropped that one and made it black and white just to see how cute it would be - turned out pretty good!

Hunter's First Tooth

Yes, it's true. After months of "teething" pain, he has cut his first tooth. And it certainly didn't come in quietly. We went to a friend's birthday party last night and he was crankier than I've ever seen him - add the big D to that and you could say Mom and Dad were a bit concerned. I did get a bit of relief a few minutes ago though when I realized his first tooth finally cut through. Hopefully the second won't be as difficult!

No pictures of the infamous tooth yet, of course, since he will barely even let me feel it much less look at it. Oh, and Hunter is also saying "up" randomly and for no particular reason except to show off his growing vocabulary. He seems to be adding a consonant every 4 or 5 days. He at least "hums" his M's, but hasn't ever put the M together with any sort of vowel sound. LOL

Happy New Year!!

I still have more pictures to post, just no time to upload them! Did want to update everyone though and tell you that Hunter's rolling all over the place now and wants to crawl so badly. He can turn all the way around on his belly by scooting himself. He also starting saying his D's, conveniently in front of witnesses so that everyone could hear Hunter say "da-da" before he'll eventually say "ma-ma." :)
