The pictures don’t do it justice, that is for sure.
Hunter played his first soccer game this morning and we learned a lot of lessons:
1. We haven’t really learned this one yet, but we know now that we NEED to learn it. It’s okay if someone takes the ball from you….just make sure you go get it back from them. :) Defense is probably a little difficult to teach 3-year-olds though.
2. Make sure he eats plenty of breakfast so that the excuse “I’m hungry” doesn’t work.
3. Don’t rush to get there early….no one else will get there before 5 minutes before the game starts.
4. Pouting and/or crying is fairly normal in this situation as at least half of his teammates did it at one point or another.
5. Last but not least, it WILL get better and they will continue looking super cute in their cleats and shin guards.
