Hunter - 11 months

OK, I was bad about posting pics over the last month (or more). I only posted one for 10 months, which means I have to make up for lost time and post a zillion for Hunter's 11 month birthday because I'll have to say "a year and..." here pretty soon. :)

Let's see...what's new these days? Well, Hunter now has all four front teeth, as you can see below - yes, those are teeth on the top, not cracker crumbs.

He does enjoy his crackers though, as well as pretty much anything we put on the tray in front of him. The other night, Hunter had his first fully "big boy" meal - we had chicken sausage and green bean casserole and he loved every last bite!! Most of his meals are a combo of Gerber and "real" food, but we're adding foods every day and he loves everything, which is great!

Of course, Jake gets at least 1/4 of everything we give to Hunter because Hunter just loves to share his food. He also loves to taunt Jake and then laugh at him. He tries soooo hard to say "Jake" but it sounds more like a snake sound than anything. It's too cute though.

Hunter is crawling all over the place and fast as a whip! We're kinda glad he isn't walking yet as we wouldn't be able to keep up with him. He thinks its the funniest thing in the world when we are chasing him (or even when he just thinks we are going to chase him). He laughs SO much, and it is joy to our ears. He's such a happy baby - we're so proud.

Our biggest challenge is feeling sure he's not going to pull up on something and then fall - as first time parents, its a bit nerve-wracking, but at the same time, we're so proud of everything he's accomplishing. We've had to get the baby gates out to keep him away from the stairs and to allow us to not have to keep both eyes on him every second. When we "contain" him and he has his toys around, it's pretty easy for everyone to have a great time and not worry so much!!

Ahhh, and the videos - you'll see here how independent our little fellow is getting. He has started grabbing the spoon to feed himself and he's fairly good at it considering he just started. He's always been pretty good about getting things into his mouth, so I don't know why I'm surprised!! I didn't quite catch him pulling up, but you can at least see him playing with his truck and hear his squawking like a goose - a silly goose!! Enjoy!!

I have to correct myself...he didn't just start using the spoon. I just forgot that we did that earlier in April as well - I was going through more videos and realized he fed himself some broccoli rice casserole a few weeks ago!
